1st Grade Teacher
I am a proud 2012 graduate of Sikeston High School and the Sikeston Career and Technology Center. During my time at Sikeston, I competed in Preschool Teaching through SkillsUSA and placed top 10 in the nation. Sikeston is a great district and I am excited to be teaching in this community!
I started my college career at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff. During my experience here, I was named to the All-USA Academic Team. I later earned the Outstanding Community College Student scholarship and transferred to Southeast Missouri State University where I finished my bachelors and masters degree in Elementary Education!
This is my fifth year as a full time educator and I am so excited that it is at the same elementary school I went to as a child. Lee Hunter is one of many great schools in this amazing district. I am looking forward to teaching 1st grade and helping prepare your child for their future! #WeAreSikeston
In fall of 2014 I worked for the Bulldog Preschool at the Sikeston Career and Technology Center as a Teaching Assistant. This experience confirmed in my heart my choice of career. I had the lucky opportunity of being a teacher candidate for the Jackson and Cape district as I completed my education. All of these experiences have molded me into the educator I am today and I am looking forward to applying my passion, experience, and knowledge in my 1st grade classroom this year!
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am a very social person and enjoy social events. I love our community and always take advantage of the fun things Sikeston has to offer. I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing some of you at the Sikeston Rodeo, Cotton Carnival, or other community events!
