Music Teacher
I graduated from Twin Rivers High School in Broseley, Missouri in 1993, and attended Three Rivers Community College with a full music scholarship. I continued my education at TRCC, and graduated in 1995 with an Associate of Arts degree. I continued my undergrade education at Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1997. I now have a Master’s Degree from William Woods University in Teaching Technology.

I am a current member of MSTA ( Missouri Teacher Association), SCTA (Sikeston Community Teachers Association, MMEA (Missouri Music Educators Association), and NafME (National for of Music Education. I attend conferences in the winter to learn the current research in my field, fun and new techniques to teaching music skills, and technology to enhance the capabilities of the students.
I started working in the Sikeston Public School district in 1997 as a title assistant. I returned to Sikeston in 2007 and began teaching music at Southeast Elementary. I am currently the primary music educator at Lee Hunter. Other schools withing our district that I have also taught are Morehouse, Southeast, Wing, Middle School and Kindergarten Center.
Prior to working at Sikeston I also worked at East Prairie Public School for 6 years. I taught elementary grades K-6 at Martin Elementary and Doyle Elementary.
I am happily married to my husband Daniel Headd. We have 2 girls Victoria Headd who graduated from High School in 2023 and Kelsie Headd who is the mother of my 2 adorable grandchildren.
When I am not teaching I am working in my yard, and playing with my grandchildren Kai and Gracie.
